Alaska Weather!

As you can tell by my title it has been freezing here, in fact when I got in my car this morning the tempature was 10 degrees! I am sooo ready for summer! We haven’t been doing much since it has been so cold. This weekend we managed to get Owen’s hair cut and head to the mall for a little while, but other then that we have been in our sweatpants and sweatshirts all weekend…..

But Owen seems pretty happy about it!

 

 

 

Just another day……

Not much going on over here, but thought I would post some pictures of Owen from over the weekend. We went over the Vathes’ house for the playoff game and hung out with some friends. It is soooo hard to get Owen to smile these days so in all of these pictures he doesn’t look so happy but he only looks that way when the camera is out….I promise!

20 Months!!

Owen turned 20 months yesterday and I am shocked how fast time has flown by! He is so much fun and keeps us highly entertained at all times:) We haven’t been up to much but working, working and more working. I just came back from Florida on Sunday from a trip for work and were not expected to leave again until March 1st so I have a little break, thank goodness! I always feel like I miss so much when I’m gone, but when I get home it’s like I never left. Here are some updates about Owen at 20 months:

  We weighed him at our scale at home and he is 29 pounds

He loves to eat and actually the first thing that he says to me when I walk in the door from work is “eat,eat,eat” I never thought that would be the reaction that I would get from my kid when I get home. I always thought it would be a hug and a kiss, but then again he is my kid and I love to eat!! He is definitely not a picky eater and his favorite foods are hot dogs, spaghetti,broccoli,cream chipped beef and of course fruit.

He goes to sleep with his Elmo, doggy and his favorite blanket every night. He goes to bed at 8 or earlier and on the weekends he sleeps in until 9, which is always very nice.

He wears a size 7 shoe and wears 2T or 24 month clothing depending on the brand

He loves everyone and has definitely started to become more attached to all of his grandparents and never wants to leave there house or wants them to leave ours. He can recognize names and usually gets right out of bed if I say were going to see Mikayla and Ms. Nyanda in the morning.

He loves to do his little chores around the house like put his “dirdy” clothes in the hamper and his newest thing is to pretend everything hurts him and say “ow, ow, owwww”  until we kiss it and make it all better:)

Having one of his many phone conversations, this time it was with his Aunt Julie in Florida! He loves to talk on the phone and only says three things once you get him on it “hi” “Elmo” and “bye” in exactly that order.lol

****Happy New Year****

I can’t believe another year has come and gone! 2010 was a great year for us and I know 2011 will be even better, we went to my sister’s house to celebrate this year and had a great time…I may have had a little to much fun, but will keep it at that;) We were able to stay up until the ball dropped and went over my moms house New Year’s day and had some of my grandma’s lasagna and meatballs! Yummy!
