ERIC vs. MATTRESS

Well last night our new mattress came in and I was so excited! As most of you know I have been sleeping on the floor with a twin mattress because we have a waterbed and needless to say waterbeds and pregnant women don't mix. When we got home we decided that we wanted to sleep in it that night and started the process of draining the waterbed. It took alot longer then we thought it would and after an 1 and 15 minutes of waiting for it to drain Eric decided he couldn't wait any longer and he was going to drag it out. Well the mattress still had half of the water left in it and was very very heavy. As you can imagine Eric had a hard time getting it out and I had to take pictures of the disaster! I haven't laughed that hard in years. After 30 minutes of barely getting the mattress out of our bedroom he decided to call Matteson and get him to help (which I told him to do as soon as he started) as you can tell by the pics the mattress won!

Round 2

Round 3
This is when he realized he couldn't do it by himself, that thing was huge!

28 week appointment

I went to see Dr.Ali this morning and it went pretty good. I only gained 2 pounds since my last appointment, so that is 17 pounds in total. I am measuring at 30 weeks instead of 28 weeks, so we might have a big baby on our hands or my stomach was just large to begin with lol! Dr.Ali said it is nothing to worry about though, he said everything was perfect. Owens heartbeat was 147 bpm. I start going every 2 weeks now instead of 4 weeks, so my next appointment is on March 9th. I am going to ask him for another sonogram at this appointment and I hope he says yes!!

Happy Belated Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! I know I am a little late but thought better late then never! Eric and I went down to Tyson's Corner for Valentines Day and ate at PF Changs, they have the best Chinese food ever and we had a really good time. This evening we went out to dinner for Eric's step dads B-Day and ate tons food at Olive Garden!! Tomorrow is our day off and I love 3 day weekends. We our probably going to head down to my moms house to get my baby shower invitations ready and sent out. I have been feeling really good lately and definitely feel like this is the "honeymoon" part of the pregnancy like everyone said. I know pretty soon I will be alot bigger and it will be hard to get around. I have had really healthy cravings during this pregnancy like donuts and candy! lol I especially like the red and white peppermints, which I hated before I got pregnant. It is crazy how your body changes within 9 months. Owen has been very very active and his kicks are becoming more powerful, I can see them through my shirt now which is pretty weird. My mom said when she was pregnant with me that she was standing in the grocery line with her items on the conveyor belt(or whatever you call it, lol) and I kicked so hard that I knocked over a box of cereal that she put on there, she said the cashier looked at her like she was crazy! I am waiting for something like that to happen to me. Well everyone have a good day off!!

My mom got Owen his first pair of swim trunks, they are so small even though
they look pretty big here.

26 weeks and 6 days!

Double Digits!!!

Yah!!! Only 99 days to go!!! Time is flying by and I am finally in the double digits! Eric and I didn't do much this weekend, we are going to my mom's house tonight to eat and last night we drove down to Tyson's Corner to go to a couple stores and out to dinner. We were running late so dinner consisted of nasty steak and cheeses at the Food Court, but it still did the trick. I at least got some ice cream before we left! My favorite!!

Even Pebbles had a lazy Sunday!

She will look out the door for hours

Just in case you forgot what we looked like!! lol

He's a kicker

Well I must say in the past few weeks little Owen has been kicking up a storm! Eric has been able to feel him a lot lately and gets very excited to be able to feel him kick. He is more active during the day then at night, which I hope is a good sign that he won't have his days and nights mixed up. We were able to put the crib bedding together thanks to our neighbor and friend Sherry (Nikki's mom) she had an extra mattress from her grandkids that she wasn't going to use anymore and decided to send it over to Eric and I. It fits perfectly and were very thankful. I also went shopping with Eric's mom over the weekend and she picked up some clothes for Owen that are very cute, she says she picks up stuff for him in every store she goes in to because she can't help herself. lol I have been feeling really good lately except for the lack of sleep, I think it is my body preparing me for all those feedings in the middle of the night. I wake up in the middle of the night and feel like I could run laps around my house I have so much energy!! Well I am off to watch American Idol!
