Owen has been such a character lately, he has been smiling so much and everyone makes him laugh. The one thing that really makes him laugh is the pictures above his changing table, he just loves to stare at them and smile. I would love to know what he sees sometimes because it is so funny. Everything has been going really good at his daycare and we are really happy so far. I have definitely gotten into a routine now and things are going alot smoother. Owen is still waking up once a night for a feeding, but he will throw an all nighter in there every once in a while but I don't think he wasn't to spoil us.lol Here are some pictures of this week and of course most of them our him smiling!

Crazy week!

As you can tell by the post I have been so busy this week! I still haven't caught up at work from being on maternity leave and this week we had a great idea to get trained on a new billing software which is VERY different from the system we had before. Eric is attempting to clear out the backyard for the fence were getting put up because we have the most annoying neighbor ever!!!! She keeps telling Eric"I wish I had a husband like you"lol She is a single older lonely woman who has nothing better to do then knock on our door every night of the week to bother us! On a happier note.....Owen has been doing so good lately and is such a happy baby. He smiles at everyone and tries to talk to them which is really funny. He watches peoples mouths and is amazed!

I thought it was so funny when I took a picture of Owen in his car seat today because he has gotten so much bigger and heavier then the day we brought him home. It is so hard to carry him in the car seat I'm starting to wonder how much longer I will be able to handle it.lol

My first week:(

This week was my first full week of work and it has definitely been interesting to say the least! I have been very busy catching up on tons of paperwork and drama. It's nothing like going back to work your first week and being thrown right under the bus by the people you work with, but I have come to realize that as long as they don't say I am a bad mother they can say and think whatever they want to! I have been at my job for over 5 years and I LOVE the work I do it is very fulfilling and keeps me busy. I know the doctor I work for appreciates everything I do and he sees that I am very hard worker and I take my job very seriously. Sometimes I wish that I could work all by myself but I know I would go insane.This has been a bitter sweet week for me, I am seeing my little baby off to a house and a woman I don't know except for a 30 minute interview. But I am also getting the alone time I think every mother needs. I like to have my own independence and my own money and as a working mother I feel like I am able to have both and so much more when I get home.

Me and Owen

Just me and my little man......

2 months old

Owen is 2 months old today!! I can't believe he has been in our lives for two months now, it seems like yesterday I was pregnant. You can definitely tell he is getting bigger not only in weight and height but his personality as well. He can definitely see now and smiles when someone talks to him. He also moves his mouth when we talk to him, I think he thinks he is talking back to us. Eric swears the other night that he rolled over because he always falls asleep on his stomach and when Eric went to get him he was on his back. I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes. I told him he was probably just delusional from the lack of sleep!lol He eats 6oz of formula every 3 hours during the day and usually sleeps 5 hours when we put him down at 9:00, but after he sleeps the first 5 hours he is up every 3 hour after that starving.

Owen has really been getting alot of head strength lately and is starting to take an interest in all of his bright toys. I try to lay him on his belly as much as possible so that he builds up his neck muscles. Here he is an action....

I took pictures of Owens thighs where he got his shots and another picture of his face. You can tell he is not very happy. It has been 24 hours since he got his shots and he is still fussy and has a low grade fever, hopefully he feels better tomorrow :(

Were Back!!

Owen and I got back from Ocean City on Thursday morning and I am finally getting around to posting some pics. My mom and I left early Friday morning and Owen slept for about 2 1/2 hours and then we had to stop and feed him. Eric was able to ride down on his motorcycle with Jim on Friday morning but could only stay until Monday because he had class the rest of the week for work. We had a really good time and we were able to do alot of things while we were there. I decided to leave on Thursday because I have to unpack everything and get ready to go back to work on Monday. On Friday Owen had his 8 week well baby appointment and had to get 3 shots, he was not to happy about that. He screamed all afternoon and then finally passed out. He weighs 12lbs 13.5oz, his height is 23 3/4 inches and his head circumference is 15 3/4. He is in the 75th percentile for height and weight and his doctor was very happy about that. I have so many pics to post I might not be able to put them all up today but I will try!
