Just another Tuesday

As you can tell by my post title we really don't have much going on this week except for my mom's ## birthday tomorrow! She would strangle me if I put her age up, but I must say I was tempted! Owen has been going to bed earlier and earlier and for the past two nights he has gone to bed at 6:30 and doesn't wake up until I am ready to go in the morning. He is definitely taking after his daddy's sleeping habits.

Family weekend

This weekend was pretty busy and fun. My sister and her boyfriend Brian came down for the weekend so we pretty much hung out with them all weekend. We went to Lackey's homecoming game Friday night while Eric's mom watched Owen, because it was to cold and late for him to join us.Since my brother goes to Lackey we have to show our school spirit. On Saturday we went over my mom's house to watch some college football and had some Taco soup, my favotite!! Then we went to Red Lobster for dinner and went out afterwards and had a really good time.

Sleep! Yah!

Owen has been doing a lot better with his teeth and has been sleeping through the night again. Yah! He is definitely not done teething yet because he is still chewing on his hand a lot! He is also sucking his bottom lip which is what he started doing when he got his first two. He spent Thursday and Friday at great grandma’s house and she said he was very very good! Thank goodness she was able to watch him and I think he enjoys going over there because he can get away from all the crazy kids at daycare. lol

Two teeth and NO sleep!!

As you can tell by the title of the post we are still dealing with the whole teething thing and it is miserable for all of us!!lol He has not been sleeping very well and is waking up crying in the middle of the night which is very wierd for Owen since he barely cries! This weekend went by very fast and the weather was cold and rainy!! It cleared up on Sunday and turned out to be a pretty nice day, which was good since Kenleigh got baptized. Everything turned out really nice and they had a spaghetti dinner afterwards, which was delicious! We have another busy weekend coming up and our babysitter is off on Thurday and Friday again!!! I think she is off more then she works, but that issue is for another day.

Thank goodness it's Friday!

5 months old (3 days late)

I am a little late posting about Owen's 5 month landmark, but the past couple days haven't been so peaceful with Owen teething, but he officially has 2 teeth! I still can't get a darn picture of them because he is not being very cooperative, but I am definitely going to get one this weekend when I have some time to get a good picture. I am so excited the weekend is almost here and I can't wait to relax! At 5 months old Owen is eating 2 jars of baby food and a 4oz bottle twice a day and has a bottle every 4 hours. He is not a picky eater and so far has liked everything we put in front of him. He has a very funny belly laugh, but he usually only laughs like that when he is watching our dog Pebbles, who he absolutely loves! He rolls from front to back and back to front. His favorite toy is his bunny rabbit and I think that's because he thinks it's a dog. I definitely think Owen is going to be an animal lover just like his Aunt Arica. My mom is watching Owen tomorrow because our daycare is going on a field trip and Owen is still to little to be tagging along. Thank god for grandmothers otherwise we would never have anyone to watch Owen!

A teething weekend!

This weekend has been pretty busy and miserable for Owen because of his teeth. He woke up twice Saturday night crying and then Sunday we had a teething meltdown so my good neighbor Nikki had to bring me some Oragel because Eric was heading to the store and wouldn't be back for a while. We had a pretty hard time getting him to bed tonight too, but he finally went to sleep around 8:45. Owen has always sucked his thumb a little bit, but now he sucks it all the time and actually falls asleep with it in his mouth. I'm not sure how long this teething process is but It's already wearing me out!lol I better get to sleep now because I have feeling it's not going to be a peaceful night.

Then their were two!

Two teeth that is!! Owen is getting two of his bottom front teeth in!! He went to grab my finger and put it in his mouth and there was to sharp things that poked me!lol You can see the white through his gums but I can't get a picture because he puts his tongue in the way! But I am going to try later to take a pic again.

Wedding bells

My best friend Minnie got married this past weekend and everything turned out really great. I am so excited I could be part of her big day and I could return the favor of being her maid of honor like she was in mine! I have been so busy with the wedding I haven't been able to post, so you should be seeing alot more Owen now that I have the time!! Eric's mom watched Owen and she said he was great and she would watch him anytime. Owen has been doing great and is such a happy baby! He is starting to take naps in his crib now because he would only take naps in his swing, so we had to start breaking him of that habit. I figured he would eventually be to big for the swing and it wouldn't move! lol He is now wearing 9 month clothing and can wear 6-9 months in some brands. He is so tall a lot of the pants are to short for him but the tops fit him really good.
